Testimonials

We stayed at Tigh na Bruaich in August 2017 and loved it. The deceptively simple exterior hid a modern cozy gem of a holiday let. The home has recently been renovated and was very clean and organised. From comfy sofas to a well stocked kitchen, we were well looked after.

Warm and comfortable beds, a beautiful new bathroom, and accessories that we liked so much we have come home and ordered similar for ourselves! The rooms are good sized and the twin room particularly spacious which was great for our kids.

The house also smells amazing thanks to reed diffusers from Essence of Harris (we also had to buy a few of those). The house is well located, a mile or so from the nearest restaurant and pub (the Anchorage- also recommended). Don't hesitate to book!

We had the privilege of being the first family to stay here earlier this month, soon after the cottage had been renovated.

Tigh-Na Bruaich is a lovely, dog-friendly home with everything you need for a comfortable trip to Harris - from Freeview TV to brand new kitchen appliances and a modern bathroom and bedrooms (1 Double and 1 twin with a lovely view.)

You can throw a stone into the sea from the front door - our two kids went for a late swim at 10pm one evening - and it's a 5-minute drive to the nearest restaurant/pub, 10 to the village shop, 20 to Luskintyre Beach and 40 to the car ferry.

Margaret was lovely to deal with and always replied to emails and queries promptly.

Book a stay before it gets discovered - you won't regret it.

We visited this beautiful cottage last October and had a fantastic family holiday with our 2 young children.

The cottage is set in a stunning location with amazing panoramic views. Beautifully refurbished with an exceptionally homely, cosy finish, everything has been considered.

We had some fantastic days out and some lovely relaxing evenings in front of the log burner.

We will definitely return in the near future, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this lovely, family cottage with comes with so much history and heritage.

Thank you xxxx

Just brilliant! The house is in an wonderful location on the shore at the edge of Harris with incredible views of the islands (including North Uist and Skye) and just a 3 min drive / 30 min walk from the port and pub/restaurant (which is lovely, lively and busy), and a 5 min drive / 45 min walk from the well-stocked coop shop and filling station. There are sheep, rabbits, birds and ducks in abundance outside! We found the spot to be sheltered by the hills behind and a wee sun trap. The house itself is lovely and has been recently renovated to a high standard and very clean. We have a young baby and we particularly appreciated the fact the kitchen had everything we needed and there was a travel cot, blankets and a high chair too. Margaret responded very quickly and check-in was a breeze. Harris itself is unbelievable and the beaches in particular are spectacular. We will definitely be back as we fell in love with the house and you will too.
